1994 ம் ஆண்டில் பாரதி பள்ளி ஒரு லாப நோக்கற்ற தமிழ்ப் பாடசாலையாக மெல்பனில் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. இன்று இது ஐந்து பெரிய வளாகங்களுடன் திகழ்வதோடு, நிகழ்நிலைக் கல்வியினூடக ஒரு உலகத் தமிழ்ப் பாடசாலையாகவும் பரிணாமம் பெற்றுள்ளது.
திருத்தமாகவும் தீவிரமாகவும் இயங்கி வந்துள்ள பாரதி பள்ளியின் பங்களிப்பை உலகளாவிய தமிழர்கள் அறிவர். விக்ரோரியாவிலும், அதற்கப்பாலும் தமிழ்க் கல்விக்குச் செயலூக்கமும், தலைமைத்துவமும் வழங்கிய பாடசாலையாகப் பாரதி பள்ளியை வரலாறு பதிவு செய்யும் என்பதில் ஐயமில்லை.
இந்த நீண்ட பயணத்தில், என்னுடன் இணைந்து பெரும் பங்களிப்புகளைச் செய்தோர் பலர். தமிழின்பால் இவர்கள் கொண்ட பற்று அளப்பரியது.
இந்தியா, இலங்கை, சிங்கப்பூர், மலேசியா போன்ற பல்வேறு பின்னணிகளைக் கொண்டவர்களின் பிள்ளைகள் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து பாரதி பள்ளியில் கற்பது ஒரு தனி அழகும், சிறப்புமாகும். ஆசிரியர்களும் அவ்வாறே.
பாரதி பள்ளியில் பெற்றோர் பங்களிப்பு மிக முக்கியமான அம்சமாகும். பழைய மாணவர்களிற் பலரும் எம்முடன் உற்சாகமாக இணைந்து உதவுகின்றனர்.
பாரதி பள்ளியானது, தனக்கென ஒரு தனித்துவத்தையும், தரத்தையும் கட்டி எழுப்பியுள்ள பாடசாலை. தூர நோக்கு, ஆக்கத் திறன், புதிய சிந்தனை, செய்வன திருந்தச் செய்தல் போன்றன பாரதி பள்ளியின் சிறப்பியல்புகள். மாணவர்களுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியான சூழலையும், அதேவேளை கல்வியில் துரித முன்னேற்றத்தையும் உறுதி செய்வது எமது இலக்காகும்.

Bharathi Academy was formed as a not for profit Tamil school in 1994 in Melbourne. Today, with developments in Online learning, it has evolved into a ‘world Tamil school’.
Tamils across the world will be well aware of our school and its contribution. There is no doubt that history will identify Bharathi Academy as a school which gave momentum and leadership to Tamil language education in Victoria and beyond.
There are many people who joined hands with me in this long journey. Their passion for the Tamil language has no limits.
Parents from different backgrounds including India, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia bring their children to Bharathi Academy where it is a beautiful sight to see them learning together.
The role of the parents at Bharathi Academy is an important one. Many of our old students have also re-joined us to support in various ways.
